Strattonwood is a family centered private swim club that values their employees. Strattonwood hires for seasonal jobs each year including a pool manager, lifeguards, swim instructors, and swim aides. Strattonwood is an equal opportunity employer. Important information about the upcoming season and working at Strattonwood:

  • Substitute guards are always needed so don’t let your availability keep you from applying.
  • Non-members and those not on swim team are encouraged to apply.
  • Interviews will be scheduled in advance, individually, and will be conducted in person or over Zoom.
  • Mandatory paid trainings will be conducted for everyone hired before the first day of workand throughout the Summer, including substitute guards. Dates will be published later this spring.
  • If you are not yet Lifeguard Certified, or will need to re-certify, Strattonwood will be delivering a Lifeguard Certification course in April. The fee is not covered by Strattonwood, but the training will be exclusive to our employees and will be at a rate that covers time and materials only.

Qualifications for all positions:

  • You have a safety-oriented mindset, can think on your feet and handle challenges and tasks with urgency.
  • You have a positive and professional attitude and can communicate effectively and courteously with all pool patrons and fellow employees.
  • You have a smart phone to use the mobile app When I Work for availability, scheduling, and clocking in and out.

  • Former employees must reapply each year to be considered for employment.
Important Dates (these dates are tentative and subject to change):

  • Applications Due:  March 20th
  • Interviews: ongoing as applications arrive
  • Lifeguard Certification: Mid-April (not during Spring Break).
  • Pool opens for swim team:  Mid-May
  • Mandatory in-person staff training:  Mid-Late May
